Missing Emily Reviews
"I was hooked by the first few pages and finished reading the first day. The story pulled me in and I went along for the ride."
"Missing Emily is a compelling, suspenseful read! I loved how LeClerc handled the different viewpoints of the two mothers. I wasn’t prepared to like both mothers but the author created such sympathetic characters it was impossible not to care about both women and their struggles to save their young daughters."
"Ms. LeClerc masterfully weaves an emotional, relatable and at times suspenseful story with well developed characters (including a cottage). The reader is taken on a vivid journey from the shores of Cape Cod to the streets of Boston."
"The story is compelling and complicated -- a perfect combination. The characters and their dilemma are unforgettable."
Silent Grace
“This is a superb story, so filled with hope, joy and sorrow, grief, loss and the pain addiction causes, especially for the littlest victims, the children involved…”
“If I had had the luxury of reading this in one sitting I could easily have done so. A gripping, emotional story containing joy and sadness, warmth and tenderness, spirits and spirituality, angst and forgiveness and lots of love…”
“Gerri LeClerc has woven her creative magic and lured us again into her second book and the charming warmth of Knoll Cottage. …”
“Silent Grace” may be the best women’s fiction I’ve ever read. It doesn’t just pull at your heartstrings… it rips them to shreds! …”

Good luck Gerri! You are a dedicated, first rate writer & someone will contact you. If you want to let me know the outcome, I would love it. If not, I understand; you’ll be too busy giving folks more of your material to read because they LOVED your submission.

OK, Lori! I was hoping no one would notice. I’m going to blog the result. Thanks for reading the blog. Do you write also?
Sorry. It seems like an interesting contest, and I wondered about your entry. I did check out quite a few on the two sites but I didn’t see yours. (although I wasn’t paying a lot of attention to the names).
Yes, I must admit I do write. Short stories, short-short stuff and memoir mostly. Until recently, I led a memoir writing group at a senior center in Western Mass and managed their website (unfortunately it has been “managed their website poorly” recently) along with another one from a group of senior writers in Florida. I enjoy working with senior writers.
I enjoy your blog.
Best, Lori
Well no wonder I didn’t notice names, there are none, I see. But of course – Missing Emily.
I would definitely keep reading.
Thank you for working to find my entry. Yes, it’s Missing Emily. And thanks for the compliment that you would keep reading! Keep writing! I’m going to a book signing this week for a new author who is 91 years old!
